Yeo Seo-jeong, who won a bronze in the women's vault on Sunday, continues to receive praise for clinching South Korea's first Olympic medal in women's gymnastics.

President Moon Jae-in on Monday posted a message on his social media accounts congratulating the 19-year-old on her win in Tokyo.

Yeo scored an average 14.733 points after two vaults to finish in third place.

Moon also lauded her for following in the footsteps of her father, Yeo Hong-chul, who won silver in the men's vault during the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games.

They are the first father-daughter duo from South Korea to have won Olympic medals.
