The South Korean men's national football team failed to protect a second-half lead during a World Cup qualifier Tuesday against Iran and came away with a 1-1 draw.
Captain Son Heung-min netted the first goal of the game in the first few minutes of the second half at Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
But Iran leveled the score in the 76th minute of the Group A match.
Iran stayed atop the group with 10 points after three wins and a draw, while South Korea remained in second place with 8 points from two wins and two draws.
