The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee vowed on Wednesday to fully support South Korean athletes who will take part in the upcoming Winter Games in Beijing.
Committee President Lee Kee-heung made the remark during a media day event at the Jincheon National Training Center in North Chungcheong Province as the one month countdown to the Olympics.
The event is set to open on February 4.
Yoo In-tak, the head of the center, said the athletes trained hard amid the ongoing COVID-19.
Over 60 athletes will compete in Beijing in six categories, including short track speed skating, curling and skeleton.
South Korea aims to finish within the top 15, with at least two gold medals.
