Actress Kim Hye-soo has admitted to allegations of plagiarism on her master's thesis, and issued an apology.
Kim said, due to her busy schedule, she failed to cite quotations used in the thesis she wrote while completing a master's degree at Sungkyunkwan University in 2001.
Kim also said she failed to recognize plagiarism as a serious offense at the time, and apologized through her management company.
Meanwhile, comedienne Kim Mi-hwa who received the same degree from the school in 2011, denied similar accusations of plagiarism made against her, saying they are baseless charges made by the press.■
