Former senior prosecutor Ahn Tae-gun has denied allegations that he unfairly disadvantaged a female junior colleague for raising sexual abuse claims against him.
In his trial this morning at the Seoul Central District Court, Ahn said he does not acknowledge the charge filed by prosecutor Seo Ji-hyun.
Seo said Ahn used his influence to have her transferred to a post outside of Seoul after she filed an internal complaint against him.
Ahn's lawyer, however, maintained that he could not have done so as he does not remember having molested Seo, and was not aware of such suspicions against him until the case was widely publicized in January this year.■
