Fire crews in Yeongdeok, North Gyeongsang Province continue to battle a massive blaze that broke out early Wednesday.
The Korea Forest Service has deployed 40 helicopters and over 2,200 personnel into the operation to put out the fire in Hwacheon-ri.
Nearly 1,000 residents in the area have been evacuated, and the wildfire has so far torched 150 hectares of land.
Authorities are looking to extinguish the blaze today as winds have calmed.
