Reports of workplace violence continue to rise in the country.
Data from the Ministry of Employment and Labor show that around 500 cases of violence at the workplace have been reported until August this year, 61 percent of which the assaulter was an employer.
The number of such cases has been on the rise, from 200 in 2015 to 360 in 2017.
However, of the total this year, only 17 cases have been referred to the prosecution, with others generally settled before lawsuit.■
