Cleanup efforts are continuing following a KTX train derailment near Gangneung Station yesterday that left 15 people injured.
The Korea Railroad Corporation said some 300 officials deployed to the accident site have been working around the clock to remove the derailed cars and make repairs to the track.
KORAIL President Oh Young-sik said they will try to complete the recovery work by 2 a.m. Monday morning.
The KTX operation between Jinbu and Gangneung Station will remain suspended until then.
Additional 45 buses have been added on the route to ease the inconveniences of travelers.■
