The Korea Meteorological Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory for Seoul and its surrounding areas due to continued heavy downpours.
The advisory, set to take effect at 5 p.m., is issued when more than 60 millimeters of rain is forecast for three hours.
Similar advisories will also cover 20 areas in Gyeonggi Province, including Suwon, Anyang, Anseong, Gwacheon and the border city of Paju.
The weather agency said showers are in store through Friday.
