The National Tax Service opens the service that facilitates document compilation for year-end tax settlements for employees in South Korea.
The National Tax Service opened its service that simplifies the process of compiling documents for year-end tax settlements.
The service collects documents required from businesses that issue receipts such as banks and hospitals and provides them to users via the service's website and mobile application.
Employees can look up their tax deduction and tax credit information.
The service also provides information on newly selected categories for tax deduction, including costs for postpartum care, credit card payments for exhibition tickets as well as fee from Zero Pay.
However, the service may be inaccessible to employees of companies that do not use the service.
A National Tax Service employee said the documents that the service compiles are only for reference, and the user is responsible for confirming their eligibility for tax deductions.■
