Lee Yong-soo, a surviving South Korean victim of Japan's wartime sexual slavery, held a second news conference on Monday, further accusing a civic group dedicated to helping the victims of misusing funds.

She also called for the governments of South Korea and Japan to properly educate students about Tokyo's wartime atrocities.

The 92-year-old activist started the press briefing by sharing the harsh experience she went through during Japan's sexual slavery.

Lee Yong-soo then continued her accusation against the Korean Council for Justice and Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan of selling out the sex slavery victims in its fundraising campaigns.

She also shared her thoughts on the ongoing investigation by the prosecution regarding the allegations raised in relation to the management of the civic group.

"So many things have unraveled when they started looking. I think that's something for the prosecution to handle."

This was her second news conference since she accused the group of misusing funds earlier this month, claiming that donations made had not been properly spent on the victims.

Since then, allegations emerged one after another, including one against the organization's former head Yoon Mi-hyang, a proportional lawmaker-elect of the ruling Democratic Party.

The group, on its part, has denied the accusations of misspending or embezzlement of funds.

During her press conference, Lee also stressed that the students of both South Korea and Japan should learn correct history with proper education in order to resolve long-standing historical disputes between the two countries.
