Early summer-like weather has been recorded in South Korea on the first day of June.
The Korea Meteorological Administration noted that real feel temperatures rose to around 31 degrees Celsius Monday in the inland regions of North Gyeongsang Province.
The weather agency has urged people in the affected area to refrain from outdoor activities and to drink plenty of water to prevent heat-related illnesses.
It also forecast that highs will surpass 30 degrees in the southern region from Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain is expected in parts of the central region, including the capital, on Tuesday, and this rain is forecast to be followed by clear, sunny skies for the remainder of the week.
