Residents of Gwangju flock to a COVID-19 testing center amid a spike in local cluster infections.
The southwestern city of Gwangju reported two more coronavirus patients on Friday, raising its case count to 86.
According to the Gwangju city government, the latest cases are tied to a church and nursing home.
Mayor Lee Yong-seob urged residents to follow quarantine guidelines, stressing it may be difficult to recover if infections spread further.
Since the outbreak began in the country in February, the city had a low number of infections, 33, for around five months.
But in the past week it confirmed over 50 cases.
