The capital region, including Seoul, is expected to get rain from Thursday afternoon.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the central region will get around 5 millimeters of rain through Friday morning.
Showers are forecast to spread nationwide overnight, with some southern regions getting up to 20 millimeters.
The weather agency said the rain could turn into snow in northern parts of Gyeonggi and Gangwon Province due to frigid conditions there.
Looking ahead, temperatures should linger in positive territory through early next week before dipping to subzero levels once again.
