People in who registered to get the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in South Korea this month but had their appointment canceled due to supply issues will instead receive Pfizer shots in July.
The government's vaccination task force announced the change on Monday, which is expected to affect around 200,000 adults aged 60 to 74.
Reservations will open on Wednesday through the national vaccine registration website (ncvr.kdca.go.kr).
Appointments can also be made by calling the the KDCA's 1339 hotline, until June 30.
Officials said the shots will be administered from July 5-17, with the second dose given three weeks later.
