Unrelenting heat continues to grip the capital region on this Wednesday.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said afternoon highs are expected to hover between 29 and 36 degrees Celsius.
It will likely feel even hotter due to high humidity levels.
Sporadic showers are in store in some areas, including eastern Gyeonggi, Gangwon Yeongseo and the inland regions of Chungcheong, Jeolla and Gyeongsang provinces.
Up to 40 millimeters of rain is forecast through late tonight.
Looking ahead, these conditions will continue through Friday before cooler weather this weekend.
