The police will be out in full force to crack down on drunk driving during the Chuseok fall harvest holiday.
The National Police Agency said Thursday all available personnel and equipment will be mobilized to increase patrols and the chance of catching impaired drivers.
Data from the agency shows more than 2,600 drunk driving accidents occurred during the Chuseok and Lunar New Year holidays from 2016 to last year, claiming the lives of 44 people and injuring 5,132.
The NPA said their goal this holiday is zero alcohol-impaired driving fatalities.
