A 2.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Jecheon in North Chungcheong Province early Friday.
The tremor was detected at 6:51 a.m. and centered 26 kilometers south of the city.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said shaking was also felt in the neighboring Gangwon and North Gyeongsang provinces.
There were no immediate reports of injury or related damage.
