Health authorities have begun administering COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to elderly people aged 75 and up, as well as workers and patients at senior care centers.
The government's vaccination task force said Monday these groups will receive the Pfizer shot for their third dose.
The booster rollout will gradually expand to other high-risk groups and adults 60 and older, who will get the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The government plans to hold a meeting of its vaccination advisory committee this week to discuss administering extra doses of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
