Two additional COVID-19 home test kits have been approved for use in South Korea.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on Tuesday announced that rapid antigen tests developed by Osang Healthcare and Median Diagnostics can be sold over-the-counter.
The move comes as the kits are in high demand amid the rapid spread of the Omicron variant and spiking infections.
There are now eight COVID-19 self-test kits produced by seven different companies available to local consumers.
