Police have said they were investigating allegations that the top prosecutor on Jeju Island committed a lewd act on the street.
Kim Soo-chang, chief of the Jeju District Prosecutors' Office, was arrested by police last week after allegedly masturbating in public near his residence.
According to police, after being detained at the scene, Kim refused to identify himself and denied the allegations during questioning, and was sent home the next day.
While investigators are yet to determine what charges to bring against him, the police said they will announce details after the results of the analysis become available.■
