The government will distribute pamphlets to diplomatic missions and international schools next month, promoting Korea's sovereignty over the Dokdo islets.
According to the education ministry, the brochure will contain dozens of ancient documents, maps and old photos.
It will be printed in both Korean and English, and will also be available online.
It marks the first time the government has drawn up publicity material that extensively describes Dokdo's history.
The ministry says about 15,000 copies will be handed out.■
