Prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for former Oxy chief John Lee, who faces charges of professional negligence resulting in death.
Lee is suspected of not taking due measures after customers complained of harmful side effects from Oxy's humidifier disinfectants.
He is also accused of false advertising for reportedly saying the product was safe for children, without official confirmation.
Lee, who currently heads Google Korea, is the first foreign executive in the toxic humidifier disinfectant scandal that prosecutors seek to arrest.
A review on his warrant will be held tomorrow.■
