Seoul city operates special taxi services for international arrivals amid virus concerns.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has arranged special taxi services for international arrivals as part of ramped up efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 across the country.
People who arrive at Incheon International Airport can now either take an emergency shuttle bus or a special transport taxi to Seoul.
This comes as the South Korean government has requested all incoming travelers from overseas, regardless of nationality, to refrain from using public transportation, including buses and trains.
Those taking special taxis are required to undergo COVID-19 testing at the airport or a local health care center before heading to their final destination.
Seoul city said it has deployed 200 taxis to Terminal 1 and 2 and will send more if needed.■
