The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has approved another COVID-19 self-test kit for use in South Korea.
The newly authorized kit is the Standard i-Q COVID-19 Ag Home Test developed by SD Biosensor.
It is the second self diagnosis tool released by the company after Covi-Catch.
There are now six self-tests for COVID-19 produced by five different companies available to local consumers.
The ministry said it is working with the companies to increase production of at-home test kits to address tight supplies and growing demand amid daily record surges in new coronavirus cases.
