Fine dust reduction measures will take effect tomorrow in the capital region as air quality is expected to be affected by unhealthy levels of fine dust.
The measure also covers Sejong city and South Chungcheong Province from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Emergency measures take effect by ministries and regional governments for the next day when the concentration level of fine particles is forecast to exceed 50 micrograms per cubic meter.
Health authorities are advising people to wear protective masks when outdoors while young children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems should remain indoors, if possible.
It's also recommended to take public transportation.■
