A day care center located inside a government complex in Seoul's Jongno District has closed after a new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the area.
According to the Jongno District Office and the interior ministry, a patient who visited a clinic in the district tested positive for the virus Wednesday evening.
The day care center said one of the children it takes care of also visited the same clinic as the confirmed patient.
In light of the situation, the day care center said it will temporarily close for at least one week, until next Wednesday, to carry out disinfection work and ensure the safety of all its children and staff.■
