The Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Management Headquarters donates 92 million won to help overcome COVID-19.
The Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Management Headquarters has donated 92 million won to the Community Chest of Korea to help overcome the coronavirus pandemic.

The fund was raised by the agency along with several others, including 24 fire departments, the Cheong Wa Dae Fire Brigade and the Seoul Emergency Operations Center.

It has also assisted transporting more than 3,000 patients with COVID-19 symptoms to hospitals, 116 of whom have tested positive for the infectious disease.

A senior official at the city's fire and disaster headquarters explained that the fundraising and activities were made in hopes to prevent the spread of the virus and urged people to adhere to the government's social distancing drive, which has been extended to April 19.■
