A sauna worker at the Four Seasons Hotel in central Seoul has tested positive for COVID-19.
The hotel on Friday said the worker is not a regular employee but a subcontractor from a service company in charge of opening lockers for sauna visitors.
He is said to have worked from Monday to Wednesday and wore a face mask while on the job, but reportedly did not experience symptoms of the disease.
The sauna is located inside the hotel's fitness center and can only be used by guests and members.
Four Seasons said it is looking into who the worker came into contact with.
Officials from the Jongno District, where the hotel is located, plan to conduct an inspection and then decide whether it will temporarily close the facility.
