Areas of the Gwangnaru Hangang Park in Seoul's Gangdong District remain sumberged on August 13, 2020, after heavy monsoon rains caused major flooding.
Five more Han River parks are reopening on Thursday, after being closed for over a week due to flooding.
The Seoul city government says the Yeouido and Nanji Hangang parks opened at 9 a.m. while the Jamsil, Yanghwa and Ttukseom parks will begin welcoming visitors from 2 p.m.
A day earlier, the Jamwon Hangang Park normalized operations after floodwater brought on by heavy monsoon rains receded.
Entry restrictions are still in place for the five other riverside parks, including the Banpo, Gwangnaru and Mangwon Hangang parks, which continue to suffer from flooding and related damage.
