The Seoul Metropolitan Government says it has yet to confirm any coronavirus cases in the capital related to outbreaks from a Christian missionary group called the International Mission.
The regligious organization claimed on its website this week that 12 people from an affiliated facility in Seoul's Gangseo District had tested positive for COVID-19.
But a Seoul city official clarified during an online briefing Thursday that the 12 cases in question were detected and confirmed in the southwestern city of Gwangju.
Over 200 people from 14 IM-affiliated centers in Seoul have been tested for the virus.
The official said half came back negative and the rest are awaiting results.
