A cluster of coronavirus infections has been reported from a daycare center in Incheon.
The city's Yeonsu District said Monday that at least 19 people, including eight children, recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials said the first patient identified in this group, a teacher, came into contact with another infected person from a cluster linked to a restaurant in the same district.
Local health authorities are carrying out epidemiological surveys to determine the exact route of infection.
Temporary coronavirus screening sites will be set up to test teachers at over 280 daycare centers in nearby areas.
