A memorial altar for late former President Roh Tae-woo has been set up at Seoul Plaza.
Roh, South Korea's 13th president, died Tuesday at the age of 88.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said anyone can pay their respects.
The memorial will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Saturday.
City Hall and other local government offices and police stations in Seoul are flying flags at half mast in honor of Roh.
