Ganbold (강볼드) said Mongolia has been balancing its foreign relations between Russia and China, and so-called third neighbors including Korea, Japan, US and other European countries.

With 26-thousand Mongolians residing in Korea, which is 1 percent of its total population, Ganbold has highlighted the cultural and economic partnership between Seoul and Ulaanbaatar since the establishment of the diplomatic ties in 1990.
He has emphasized that both nations need to explore further cooperation among various industrial sectors, including in education, as Seoul is one of the most popular destintations for Mongolian students.
As Mongolia has had diplomatic relations with North Korea for many years, he also says Mongolia can be the diplomatic channel between the two Koreas.

He says South Korea and Mongolia can cooperate together to deal with the foreign issues such as Pyongyang's nuclear weapons and promote political and economic interactions.
