President Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-sook spoke with local elementary school students and offered them positive words of encouragement as the country celebrated Children's Day.
The online event was particiapted by a group of 38 kids from Doseong Elementary School in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province.
Moon expressed regret that their meeting could only be held virtually due to COVID-19, but he told the students his biggest wish is for them to be able to play with their friends without having to wear masks, as soon as possible.
This marks the second year amid the pandemic that President Moon has sent online greetings to children across the nation.
