Traffic is expected to pile up on the nation's highways Friday afternoon.
Traffic jams have been building up on major expressways across the nation on this third day of the Chuseok holiday.
According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, more than 4 million vehicles are expected to hit the roads Friday, with congestion on Seoul-bound lanes likely to peak around 4 or 5 p.m. before easing up later in the evening.
As of noon, the estimated drive time from Busan to Seoul is five hours 40 minutes, from Daejeon two hours, from Mokpo nearly four and half hours and from Gangneung just over three hours.
Drivers are reminded that toll fees will be collected during the holiday period, and caution should be taken while behind the wheel.
