An additional 438,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer are set to arrive in South Korea early Wednesday.

According to the government's vaccination task force, the shipment will be enough to fully vaccinated 219,000 people.

They were acquired through a direct contract with the U.S. pharmaceutical giant.

Pfizer's two-dose regimen is being used to inoculate people over the age of 75 as well as workers and patients at senior care facilities.

More bottles of the vaccine are scheduled to be delivered every week through the end of June.
