Major banks in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi Province will shorten hours starting Monday for two weeks amid strengthened social distancing to combat the spread of coronavirus in the capital region.
According to financial authorities, bank branches will open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 3:30 p.m. through July 23.
Banks normally operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There will be less tellers during the cited period as most of them will be working remotely.
